President’s Family Justice Centers
The Department of Justice’s Office on Violence Against Women is making a difference in your community using a coordinated community response. Through its President’s Family Justice Center Initiative, victims have access to help with filing protection orders, meeting with law enforcement, getting medical treatment, talking with a victim advocate, arranging for childcare and supervised visitation, and more. President’s Family Justice Centers make a victim’s search for help and justice more efficient and effective by bringing professionals who provide an array of services together under one roof.
“Victims of domestic violence face so many challenges that we cannot leave victims to make it through a confusing and overwhelming process on their own. And no one agency or corporation, no single group or organization can get the job done alone either. These Family Justice Centers are built on partnerships and teamwork, common goals and common compassion. They are sending victims an important message—that they are not on their own.”
—Former U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales
